Hello Berry Patch! Today I don’t have a polish review for you, but don’t worry it is still a manicure
While I was at Sephora the other day doing some shopping to celebrate my promotion at work, I spotted these beautiful nail stickers in the sale bin (although I think they were in there by mistake, haha). So I thought, what the heck, why not?!
This particular style is called the White Basket Weave, but the little jewels are actually silver. And the silver jewels sit on top of a clear base sticker, so there really isn’t anything white on these. You get 18 stickers in 9 different sizes in this little pack for $7.00, which I think is a pretty good value. I prepared my nails just like I would for a nail polish manicure; I cleaned them, and applied a base coat. And then I simply peeled off a sticker that looked to be about the right width, and stuck it on. I liked that they were pretty forgiving when it came to replacing them if my first attempt was slightly crooked. And then I just trimmed off the extra bit that went past the free edge of my nail and then filed away the rest. And even though it sounds pretty simple, I think the whole process still took me about as long as it would to do a solid color polish manicure – it’s just a lot less messy and you don’t have any drying time after. And I really like the fact that there was no heat required to activate the glue like there was with the Jamberry Nail Shields I reviewed a while ago.
In terms of wear, they lasted a couple days before I started to notice some lifting at the corners. And by the 5th day, I was peeling them off entirely, haha. Now the clear base had it’s pros and cons. Pro – you couldn’t really notice when the sticker didn’t quite cover my whole nail. Con – after a few days of wear, I noticed some dirt getting stuck under the lifting parts of the stickers (which you wouldn’t have seen if it was a solid color). When I was peeling off the stickers, they came off pretty easily, but did leave behind a significant amount of sticky residue. But the stickiness was easily removed with nail polish remover. Another positive was that I saved the extra pieces I cut off the end of my nails so I could use them later if I wanted to do just a tip or a small stripe (and I still had 8 left over stickers that I didn’t need to use since I only have 10 fingers, haha). So I am a fan of these stickers, but I just can’t expect to wear them as long as I would a nail polish manicure.

Aww bummer about the nail stickers not working as long as you’d like :/ I feel like I would fiddle with the ends of them and peel them off before their time was done, haha. Also CONGRATS on your promotion, yay!!
i really love this look
