I’m on the top, Ms. Lizard is on the bottom
American Apparel Neon Violet, Neon Orange, Constellation, Peacock and Factory Grey
Two weeks ago I interviewed an amazing Bay Area blogger named Lyndsey who writes Nails by Ms. Lizard. And later that weekend we actually had lunch together, because it turns out we are very nearly neighbors (only about 5 minutes away form each other driving!). I spent a lot of time thinking about what to do for my manicure that week that would be worthy of meeting up with a fellow nail blogger. I settled on a pink and grey needle marble. So of course on of the first things I noticed on Ms. Lizard were her nails. They were simple and beautiful. She had no nail art, just a solid shimmery purple called Scrangie from Rescue Beauty Lounge that was actually created by the blogger of the same name. After introducing ourselves one of the first things Ms. Lizard told me, in true nail blogger fashion, was that she had bought some polishes on sale at American Apparel right before meeting up for lunch!
We talked about polish and other random things about our lives over a delicious lunch of Korean BBQ (thanks again for paying Lyndsey!) Lyndsey is super nice, a little quirky and a pleasure to talk to. And once we were finished eating we messed around with our cameras and my little gorillapod tripod to get a picture of all 10 of our nail together. I’m sure the other diners must have been looking at us wondering what the heck we were doing, haha.
As we were getting ready to leave, I watched Ms. Lizard pick up her mini haul of American Apparel polishes and suddenly remembered I had a really old gift card to American Apparel. I knew it wasn’t quite enough to get any good clothes, which was why I hadn’t spent it yet, but it was definitely enough for some polish! So we walked back over to the store and I ended up walking away with 5 new polishes, when all I had gone out for was lunch and a new friend
I would say that our lunch was a definite success, especially with the unexpected polish bonus. So thanks again for everything Ms. Lizard and I look forward to future meet-ups
